Hello Readers,
My name is Lauren, and I’m so glad you’re here.
Since starting READ’s in April 2018, I’ve been fortunate enough to explore some incredible ARCs, dive into beta reading, and connect with amazing authors and PR teams. I’m beyond grateful for every opportunity this journey has brought me.
The idea to start a book blog came after realising just how much joy I find in reading, discussing, and recommending books. After months of debating, I finally took the leap on April 15, 2018, and I couldn’t be happier that I did. It took time to find my groove, and while I’d describe myself as an “all-over” blogger, my heart always belongs to reading.
In 2021, life threw me a curveball when I was diagnosed with Idiopathic Anaphylaxis, a rare and unpredictable condition. Adjusting to life with this disorder has been challenging, but it’s also taught me resilience and the importance of embracing what I love.
As a child, I loved writing but often kept my thoughts to myself. Over the years, I worked to build confidence and rediscover my voice, and starting this blog has been a huge part of that journey. I never imagined that anyone would read about what I had to say, yet here I am, surrounded by readers who support and share in this journey. For that, I am beyond grateful.
I hope you enjoy exploring my blog. Feel free to leave a comment, share your thoughts, or recommend your favourite books. I’d love to hear from you.
Happy Reading

Hi Lauren - I'm Douglas Renwick, and I have only just read your review. Thank you so much! You've made my day. Like many authors, I lurch from one crisis of confidence to another, so your brilliant review has given me a spring in my step and a huge boost in my current project, a novel about a girl with special powers. I think it will be better than Traumata.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes,
