My Favourite Planet Zoo DLC’s

Hello Readers,

I've found myself diving back into Planet Zoo, and I might have gotten a little carried away during the DLC spring sale. This post isn’t sponsored. Today, I wanted to share some of my favourite DLCs with you. Each DLC pack introduces a variety of new animal species that players can adopt, research, and showcase to their guests. Additionally, these packs often include fresh construction items and scenic objects.

Australia

I think The Australia Pack is one of the more well-rounded DLCs, offering far more than just new animals. With over 230 new scenery pieces, it provides a fantastic selection of construction options that make creating immersive, themed areas effortless. I find myself using these elements more than those from any other DLC, as they bring a vibrant feel to my zoo.

Beyond the scenery, this pack introduces a stunning lineup of instantly recognisable animals. From the iconic koala to the energetic red kangaroo, each species adds charm, personality, and movement to your zoo. Whether you're expanding an existing zoo or building something entirely new, the Australia Pack injects colour and creativity.

And let’s be real Quokkas. Need I say more? This pack introduces four new habitat animals and one walk-through exhibit species, each seamlessly integrated into the game’s growing roster. The attention to detail in both the animals and scenery makes this DLC feel immersive and thoughtfully designed. The new species blend beautifully with the new foliage and architectural elements, enhancing any zoo’s atmosphere.

Twilight

The Planet Zoo: Twilight Pack takes things in a spookier direction, and I’m absolutely here for it. While the game usually focuses on natural beauty, this DLC embraces a darker, gothic vibe perfect for anyone who loves Halloween or an eerie aesthetics.

With around 200 new scenery pieces, there’s plenty to play with, from glowing mushroom lamps and Jack-o’-lanterns to bubbling witch cauldrons. If you’re all about spooky season, these are a dream come true. But even if Halloween isn’t your thing, the Romanian and gothic-inspired architecture pieces are stunning and can be used year-round. The build items in this pack are some of my favourites, adding a unique, atmospheric touch to any zoo. Which translates to I have glowing mushroom lamps everywhere.

Whether you want to create a haunted hideaway or just add a bit of gothic flair, the Twilight Pack is a fantastic addition,
