Merry Ever After by Tessa Bailey Review

Hello Readers,
While searching for Christmas reads this year, I came across the "Under the Mistletoe Collection." This Amazon Original collection features five festive novellas by Ali Hazelwood, Tessa Bailey, Olivia Dade, Alexandria Bellefleur, and Alexis Daria.

Each novella is available on Kindle Unlimited, and if you have an Audible account, you can also access the audiobook version while the book is borrowed through Kindle Unlimited. Today I am sharing my review of the second book in the "Under the Mistletoe Collection." I will not be discussing the spice levels as that’s all down to personal preference.

Synopsis:
A single mother working in a thrift store. A gentle giant farmer who can’t find jeans that fit. When opposites attract, they find themselves making alterations in more ways than one in this smoking-hot short story by Tessa Bailey.

Evie Crowe is starting over in a strange town with her newborn, and men are the furthest thing from her mind. If only the quiet, hulking farmer, Luke Ward, would stop coming into the thrift shop and piquing her reluctant interest. Evie wants to stay single all the way—she can’t trust anything more than friends-with-holiday-benefits. But Luke is in it for the long haul. He’s fixed on making this a Christmas Evie will remember forever. If she gives him a chance.

Miniature Review
This was a charming story about a single mother finding love with a big, burly farmer. I loved having a lead like Luke, who isn’t afraid to go after what he wants. As for Evie, my only wish was to learn more about her story but perhaps that’s just me being a little greedy with this novella.

While there were a few cringey moments, they didn’t detract from my enjoyment of the story. It's not an overly seasonal story as the story is set in Texas but I think that’s due to personal preference.

Overall, I’m really enjoying the Under the Mistletoe series so far. They’re just adorable little Christmas stories. Tomorrow, I'll be sharing my review of Under the Mistletoe Three: All by My Elf by Olivia Dade.
