The Crimson Moth by Kristen Ciccarelli Review

Happy Halloween Readers,

I completely devoured this book and without spoilers the 27th of February can not come quick enough and you need to read this book. Slight spice warning, I will not be discussing the spice levels as that’s all down to personal preference.

This was such a perfect read it was enemies to lover in the best way possible, I knew I was going to love this book from quotes I kept seeing on social media, but it surpassed my expectations. I know it’s a very first world problem but the rage I feel after finishing the book and having to wait is real. I need to know… Kristen, you can't leave me hanging like this. Is “?” okay? what’s going to happen to “?”? did “?” know?

The slow burn romance between Rune and Gideon I loved every second its very grey they. By grey I mean they both though it was clear black and white they were both had their reasons for investigating each other but they went grey without realising till it was too late and I loved reading it.

This is another case of right book right time. I loved everything about the magic system is clever and well thought out, the characters are fully developed, the plot was engaging, the writing is spot-on, I couldn’t have asked for more. I am slightly struggling for the words so im going to jump to bullet points.
  • Dual POV
  • Enemies-to-Lovers (Witch & Witch Hunter)
  • Slow Burn
  • Brilliant magic system
  • Blood Magic
  • Secret Identity
  • Forbidden Magic
  • Cliff hanger (and it it’s a CLIFF HANGER!)

Stay Spooky
