Kaos Netflix Review

Hello Readers,
I haven’t been this excited for a tv series in a while I mean Jeff Goldblum play Zues I was sold. this post is not sponsored I am just sharing the love of a series I adore. I am using a poster image I have found through google I do not own any rights and am using the image for review purposes (Fair use under the copyright act sections 29 and 30 under use for a review).

This eight-part series on Netflix is a reimagining of Greek mythology that is intricate, intelligent, funny, and brutal. I am going to try keep this review spoiler free, but I am going to include a list of all the mythological characters included in the series for my fellow Greek mythology lovers.

This series is set in the modern age in an alternate reality where the Greek Gods and Legends just happen to sit smack in the middle of existence, doing what they do best: killing and rebelling. I really like the way the Greek Gods have been portrayed in this series. The gods are spoilt, selfish and unpredictable.

None of the deities are particularly likeable apart from Hades, Persephone, and Dionysus. We all know I’m a Hades and Persephone stan and I love them in this series. Dionysus in this series is just so cute and just wants a friend. I knew the Greek Gods had family drama but damn the drama is drama-ing HARD.

While the storylines that thread through each episode are brilliant, what really makes this series special, though, is the effort that has gone into the world-building. What raises this series to almost genius level of attention to detail.

The series switched between story lines effortlessly from the Gods on Mount Olympus to the Underworld to Poseidon at sea to President Minos in the highest office of Krete. I think this type of storytelling kept the pace quick but also allowed the stories and our characters room to breathe.

Kaos introduce dozens of mythological characters with such frequency that I took me a hot second to catch up. But I have created a list for my Greek mythology lovers.
