Hello Readers,
Last year I rediscovered my love for the discworld series, I might be “cheating,” but I love listening to them I love Stephen Briggs narration and for me personally he is the voice of my beloved characters. In total there are 41 books in the Discworld novels, but they can be broken down into smaller manageable chucks. I have read all of the discworld books, but I have yet to reread all 41 today I thought I would share my favourite mini-series within. In fact, I found a little guide on the Discworld Emporium and have used it since to see where I want to jump in.

Death Books
Books - Mort, Reaper Man, Soul Music, Hogfather and Thief
of Time.
I love Deaths books and have reviewed some of them
already. I think out of the five Reaper Man is my favourite and it’s not just
because we meet death of rats. Reaper man is full of puns, and it is one book
that genuinely hurts my tummy to watch as it makes me belly laugh. In second
play we have Mort just imaging being an apprentice to Death. While being the
apprentice to the only Death, Death, yearns to relish in what being human is
like, travels to Ankh-Morpork to indulge in new experiences, including getting
drunk, dancing, gambling, and finding a job. It goes just as well as you think
it will. The Hogfather has one of the few characters I dislike in I don’t know
if it’s because the tv adaption sunk its claws in, but Mr Jonathan Teatime
makes my skin crawl, it’s a good villain quality but still.
Moist Von Lipwig Books
Books – Going Postal, Making Money and Raising Steam.
I don’t really have a favourite out of the three and kind of see them a little like lord of the rings they are one story just broken up. Moist is a great character, over Christmas I dug out the DVD of going postal and I was a little meh about the way moist was portrayed he’s funnier in the books and yes, he is a slime ball but not that much he is still stupidly charming. The Moist Von Lipwig Books contain some of my favourite Lord Vetinari moments. From when moist thinks he’s getting a reprieve to the chat and "Oh, I'm sorry, I hadn't realized. Do tell me if you feel obliged to make another one..."., the remember I am a Tyrant and the surprise at the end of raising steam. I also have a lot of love for Adora Belle Dearheart and her wit.
The Watch – Sam Vimes Books
Books - Guards! Guards!, Men at Arms, Feet of Clay,
Jingo, The Fifth Elephant, Night Watch, Thud! and Snuff. Where's My Cow?
Technically a miniseries in a miniseries I am sorry for the inception. Thud! Wins hands down when it comes to my favourite Sam Vimes books. Without giving too much away Sam recites a child’s book he reads to his son and just the set up and circumstance kills me off with laughter I physically can’t read the chapter. Even on audiobook I still can’t listen to the chapter without laughing I will have to pause it at least once. It is also the reason why there is a cow on the imagine I made for Sam’s books. I do like the watch books, but Sam is just the G.O.A.T sorry Angua, Detritus, Cheery, and Carrot.
